As long as the weather isn't scorching...this time of year is my one of my favorites. Basically because you can host great parties outside and get as creative as you want. I know that it's already the first week in July, but there is still plenty of time to plan that perfect outdoor party...and better yet, when it gets a later in the summer, you don't have to worry about the heat as much. With that in mind, I thought I'd share five of my favorite party themes.
1. NAUTICAL LOVE
I love the crisp and clean look of navy and white stripes with a pop of red. Pair it with a farm table and benches and bamboo or cane chargers and you have a perfect setting. For the serving trays, ice buckets and coasters, I use either our crab or striped designs. I also paired them with a lantern for light and a pop of metal. I got the Rattan Chargers from Pier 1.
2. PALM LEAVES
Even though last year's Pantone Color was green, it doesn't mean that you still can't use it for your party this summer, especially when you are having a party outside. I love our "Leaf Time" design because it gives you a neutral palette that you can pair with a punch of color in plates or napkins. I would use white votives on the table as well to give a little light and texture. When I created my tablescape, I used yellow fiesta plates. You can order them at most department stores.
Lemons seem to be very popular right now and our lemon designs are no different. The bright color will lighten up any table, especially when hosting a luncheon with your favorite friends. Thinking outside the box, I used real lemons as our placecard holders and paired them with daisies for the center of the table. I made sure the daisies have a few leaves on them to add a little green in to the color palette and match the green on our placecards.
When I think of pineapples, I think of the southern welcome and a great theme to entertain. I paired our lucite tray and ice bucket with white plates and burlap placemats from Pier 1 to give it the southern feel. Want to change it to a tropical look, switch out your white plates with green plate and add tropical flowers to your tablescape.
5. BEACH BALL
Finally, our last design is perfect for that summer pool party. What better design than beach balls. They are colorful and fun. I paired our tablescape with Mikasa etched glasses and colored napkins to match the colors of the beach ball. Want to add a little fun to the table, purchase small beach balls to use in the center of your tablescape.
There is still a good bit of time left in the summer season, so I hope these themes will help give you inspiration for your remaining parties. For daily inspiration, check out our Instagram Profile.
Until next time, happy partying!
