Need something to do with your friends this summer? Looking for somewhere to take your weekend guests? How about a concert in the park. Most cities these days have some sort of concerts on the weekends during the summer. Whether it's a band or the symphony, a picnic in the park on a summer's eve is sure to be fun.
Here is a list of important items to pack for your event:
In most cases you will be sitting on the grass in the park listening to music. Find a comfortable blanket to sit on. If it has a lining to prevent the dew on the grass from coming through, that's a plus.
Whether it's a bottle of your favorite wine, a thermos of lemonade or a cooler of soft drinks, be sure to have something to keep you hydrated. You may want to check the website of the event to make sure that alcohol is allowed.
Think picnic foods when planning for the concert. You can stop at your local chicken store for a picnic basket or you can fix your own. We think salami, cheese, crackers and fruit is a great idea for a concert. Especially with your favorite bottle of wine.
4. Bag or Basket
Be sure to find a basket or bag to keep everything together. You never know how far you are going to have to walk. Make sure it is easy to carry everything.
We love our Lucite Trays and they are perfect for a concert in the park. You never know how even the ground is going to be so a tray of some sort is always a great move. This will keep your glasses, bottles and food from falling over.
Finally, have fun! Be sure to check out the night and time of the events near you. Around here, some areas have their events on Friday, some on Saturday and some on Sunday. You never want to go to the wrong one on the wrong night.
Until next time, happy partying!
