Meet Laurie Louis
Laurie Louis is a true “Carolina Girl” having been born and raised in Belmont, North Carolina, a small town about 15 miles outside of Charlotte, NC.
After graduating from Salem College in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Laurie went to work for Creative Sports, a television production company based in South Charlotte. Ultimately this local company was purchased by ESPN and renamed ESPN Regional Television. Laurie would work at “ERT” in the world of collegiate sports for over two decades before stepping out to run Laurie Louis Designs full-time.
Today, Laurie spends her time operating the boutique online retail operation she founded. Her passion is helping others host memorable events. And while sports are no longer part of Laurie’s day-to-day, she still loves sports – especially baseball and her beloved Atlanta Braves.
About Laurie Louis Designs
As a child, Laurie watched her mother Barbara plan countless parties for family, friends and neighbors. Whenever their was a holiday or major event to celebrate in someone’s life, the group would get together and host a party where all elements were meticulously coordinated around a central theme. It was this attention to detail that Barbara and her friends exhibited which made a lasting impression on Laurie.
